Advent(ure) Calendar to Continue Until New Years Day

The BBC have recently confirmed that the Doctor Who Advent(ure) Calendar will continue beyond the Twenty Fifth of December to countdown to the Tenth Doctor’s finale, The End of Time part two, which will be broadcast on New Years Day. The End of Time will be the final Doctor Who story to feature the Tenth Doctor, as portrayed by David Tennant, and the final Doctor Who story to be written by Russell T Davies.

The Tenth Doctor’s final story, The End of Time by Russell T Davies, will see the return of his Time Lord nemesis The Master, as portrayed by John Simm, seeking revenge. The first part of the Tenth Doctor’s final story will have an approximate running time of sixty minutes while the second part will have an approximate running time of seventy five minutes.

David Tennant is joined in The End of Time by one-off companion Bernard Cribbins as Wilfred Mott, grandfather of companion Donna Noble, for the Tenth Doctor’s final story. BBC America recently confirmed that the first part of The End of Time will be broadcast on BBC America on the Twenty Sixth of December with the second part of The End of Time on the Second of January.
