Third Doctor with Maggots Figure Double Pack

Forbidden Planet have recently revealed that another exclusive Third Doctor, portrayed by the late Jon Pertwee, figure based on his appearance in The Green Death (1973) will be released next month. Previous Third Doctor figures from Forbidden Planet include a figure double pack including the Third Doctor with an updated Sea Devil figure and another figure double pack including the Third Doctor with a Dalek.

The Green Death, written by Robert Sloman with Barry Letts, featured Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor with Katy Manning as companion Jo Grant making her final appearance in Doctor Who. The Green Death is currently available for purchase on DVD, released on Monday the Tenth of May 2004, around the United Kingdom and Ireland.

UNIT is called in after a miner from the Welsh village of Llanfairfach is found dead, his skin glowing bright green. Jo joins forces with a local environmental group, led by Professor Clifford Jones, while the Doctor investigates the nearby plant of a company called Global Chemicals.

They discover that the mine workings are full of giant maggots and green slime - both lethal to touch - that have been produced by chemical waste pumped from the Global plant.

Forbidden Planet will release the Third Doctor figure with Maggots figure pack on Monday the Nineteenth of October for the price of £24.99 around the United Kingdom and Ireland. Both previous Third Doctor double packs have recently been made available for £24.99 in branch’s of Forbidden Planet around the United Kingdom and Ireland.
