An exclusive DVD preview trailer for the upcoming release of The King’s Demons (1983) plus Planet of Fire (1984) has been included within the recent DVD box set release of Frontier in Space (1973) with Planet of the Daleks (1973). Both of these Doctor Who stories feature the Fifth Doctor, portrayed by Peter Davison, encounter his arch nemesis the Master, portrayed by Anthony Ainely, who seeks control of Kamelion.The King’s Demons, written by Terence Dudley, featured Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor with Janet Fielding, as companion Tegan, Mark Strickston as companion Turlough and Anthony Ainely as the Master. Planet of Fire, written by Peter Grimwade, featured Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor with Mark Strickston as companion Turlough, the introduction of Nicola Bryant as companion Peri and Anthony Ainely as the Master.
The King’s Demons/Planet of Fire DVD box set will be released by 2lEntertain sometime in January 2010 as the first Doctor Who DVD that will be released next year around the United Kingdom and Ireland.
