Ever since Doctor Who first began in 1963 with An Unearthly Child the programme has always carried a memorable and recognisable logo. The BBC have stated that the new logo will be “an emblem of excitement, humour, scary monsters, brave companions and the Doctor!” and “stylish, fresh, distinctive and bold” when it receives its first unveiling tomorrow.
This announcement marks the first time the Doctor Who logo has been updated since the BBC previously announced that Doctor Who would return in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston. An official “Evolution of the Doctor Who logo” is available here on the Doctor Who website and Doctor Who Hideout promise to report the new logo as soon as possible tomorrow.
