
Planet of the Spiders, written by Robert Sloman and Barry Letts, was first broadcast in the United Kingdom and Ireland by the BBC in Spring 1974 as six weekly parts. This episode was the first to introduce Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor who would become the most recognisable Doctor due to his curly hair and long multicoloured scarf.
