Gareth Roberts Writing for Series Five?

Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures writer Gareth Roberts is reportedly writing an episode for Doctor Who’s fifth series which features English actor Matthew Smith as the Eleventh Doctor. Gareth Roberts latest contribution to Doctor Who was the recent Easter special Planet of the Dead, written by himself and Russell T Davies, which featured David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor alongside Michelle Ryan as Lady Christina.

Gareth Roberts has previously written The Shakespeare Code, The Unicorn and the Wasp, Planet of the Dead and the series two Tardisodes for Doctor Who. He has previously written Invasion of the Bane, with Russell T Davies, Revenge of the Slitheen, Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?, Secret of the Stars and The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith for The Sarah Jane Adventures.

The Sun reported last month that Doctor Who writer and actor Mark Gatiss will be writing two episodes for Matthews first series as The Doctor. One episode will reportedly feature Nazis invading an old museum, an idea proposed for series four, and the other being an adaptation of an old book written by Mark Gatiss called Nightshade.

Doctor Who Hideout would like to remind readers that Gareth Roberts or Mark Gatiss haven’t been confirmed to be writing for Series Five but Doctor Who Hideout will keep you updated. The only confirmed writer at the moment is Scottish Doctor Who writer Steven Moffat who first contributed to Doctor in 2005 with The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances.
