Planet of the Dead - Tonight!

Doctor Who Hideout would like to remind readers that the first 2009 Doctor Who special titled Planet of the Dead will receive its debut broadcast tonight on BBC One and BBC HD. Scottish actor David Tennant reprises his role as the Tenth Doctor who’s joined by Lady Christina portrayed by Michelle Ryan in this one-off special written by Russell T Davies with Gareth Roberts.

Planet of the Dead will be the first Doctor Who special in 2009 out of four which will signal the end of the Tenth Doctor before being replaced by Matthew Smith as the Eleventh Doctor. The second 2009 Doctor Who special is written by Russell T Davies with regular Sarah Jane Adventures writer Phillip Ford making his first writing contribution to Doctor Who.

Doctor Who - Planet of the Dead - 6.45pm - BBC One and BBC HD
Doctor Who Confidential - Desert Storm - 8.30pm - BBC Three


The official title for the second 2009 Doctor Who special will be revealed tonight with an exclusive preview trailer after the broadcast of Planet of the Dead. Planet of the Dead will be repeated tomorrow at 7pm on BBC Three and at 5pm on BBC One this Easter Monday.
