BARB have revealed unofficial overnight ratings for Saturday which state that the Doctor Who Easter special Planet of the Dead was watched by 8.41 million viewers on BBC One and 184,000 viewers over on BBC HD. Planet of the Dead was written by Russell T Davies with Gareth Roberts and featured the Tenth Doctor alongside one-off companion Lady Christina.BBC HD’s broadcast of Planet of the Dead marked the highest ratings the channel has achieved since it was launched. Doctor Who was unfortunately the second most watched programme of Saturday being beaten by ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent which achieved 10.52 million viewers on ITV1.
Official ratings for the Doctor Who Easter special Planet of the Dead will be released by BARB in ten days time.
