Planet of the Dead Synopsis

The official synopsis for the upcoming East Special of Doctor Who Planet of the Dead was officially released earlier today by the BBC Press Office. Scottish actor David Tennant reprises his role as the popular Tenth Doctor in Planet of the Dead who is joined by the mysterious Lady Christina de Souza in this episode written by Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts.

The BBC have confirmed that Planet of the Dead will be officially broadcast on BBC One over the Easter Holidays plus a broadcast on the high definition channel for the BBC roughly around the same time. Both Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts have previously co-written an episode together was the pilot of The Sarah Jane Adventures titled Invasion of the Bane.

When a London bus takes a detour to an alien world, the Doctor must join forces with the extraordinary Lady Christina, in this one-off seasonal special. But the mysterious planet holds terrifying secrets, hidden in the sand. And time is running out, as the deadly Swarm gets closer.

Planet Of The Dead features David Tennant as the Doctor, Michelle Ryan as Lady Christina and Lee Evans as Malcolm. It is written by Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts.
