The BBC Press Office have today published the official synopsis for first episode of a two parter; The Time of Angels by Steven Moffat, which will be broadcast on Saturday the Twenty Fourth of April on BBC One and BBC HD. The Time of Angels will feature Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, Karen Gillan as companion Amy Pond and Alex Kingston as River Song as they encounter the Weeping Angels.
The Time of Angels (Part 1)
Don't blink – the Weeping Angels return in the fourth episode of Doctor Who, which is written by Steven Moffat.
The Doctor, played by Matt Smith, is recruited by Father Octavian to track the last of the Angels through the terrifying Maze of the Dead. Meanwhile, the mysterious River Song re-enters the Doctor's life – but can he trust her?
Father Octavian is played by Iain Glen and River Song by Alex Kingston. The Doctor's companion, Amy Pond, is played by Karen Gillan.
According to the BBC Press Office, The Time of Angels is currently scheduled for broadcast from 18.25pm on BBC One and BBC HD but the broadcast time still could change before the broadcast date of Saturday the Seventeenth of April. Following The Time of Angels, the new series of Doctor Who continues the following Saturday with the concluding episode for the two parter; Flesh and Stone by Steven Moffat.
