Issue Four Hundred and Sixteen of Doctor Who Magazine has confirmed that the Eighth Doctor’s only television appearance, Doctor Who, will be re-released next year on DVD by 2lEntertain around the United Kingdom and Ireland. Doctor Who, usually referred to as The Movie, featured Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor, and Eric Roberts as The Master, trying to save Earth from the Master’s latest evil scheme.The Movie will be part of The Revisitaions DVD box set which is rumoured to feature Special Edition DVDs of the earlier Doctor Who DVD releases from 2lEntertain. 2lEntertain haven’t confirmed as of yet what other Doctor Who stories will be released as Special Edition DVDs alongside The Movie The Revisitaions DVD box set which will be released next year.
Doctor Who Magazine have also confirmed that extras for the new DVD version of The Movie will include The Seven Year Hitch and an exclusive look at the abandoned 30th Anniversary Special The Dark Dimension. Doctor Who Hideout will keep readers updated regarding the official DVD release of The Revisitaions DVD box set plus further Doctor Who DVD releases from 2lEntertain.
