The Broadcasters Audience Research Board have recently revealed the overnight viewing figures for The Gift - Part One and Part Two, written by Rupert Laight, after it was broadcast last week on BBC One and BBC HD. The Gift starred Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith, Thomas Knight as Luke Smith, Daniel Anthony as Clyde Langer and Anjli Mohindra as Rani Chandra encounter the Blathereen.Part One of The Gift managed to achieve overnight viewing figures of 0.8 million with a 6.2% share of the audience and an unconfirmed viewing figure total on BBC HD. The concluding part of The Gift managed to achieve overnight viewing figures total of 0.8 with a 6.4% share of the audience and an unconfirmed viewing figure on BBC HD.
Russell T Davies has confirmed recently in Doctor Who Magazine that a fourth and fifth series of The Sarah Jane Adventures are in pre-production however nothing will go ahead without permission from the BBC. The Sarah Jane Adventures series three is rumoured to be released on DVD in January, instead of November like usual, around the United Kingdom and Ireland.
