The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith Synopsis

The BBC Press Office have recently revealed the official synopsis for The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith, the third story of The Sarah Jane Adventures series three, ahead of its broadcast later this month. The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith part one will receive its BBC One, plus BBC HD, debut on the Twenty Ninth of October at 4:35pm with the concluding part on the Thirtieth of October at the same time.

The third series features Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith alongside Thomas Knight as Luke Smith, Daniel Anthony as Clyde Langer and Anjli Mohindra as Rani Chandra. Stories this year include; Prisoner of the Judoon by Phil Ford, The Mad Woman in the Attic by Joseph Lidster, The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith by Gareth Roberts, The Eternity Trap by Phil Ford, Mona Lisa's Revenge by Phil Ford and The Gift by Rupert Laight.

Sarah Jane has met Peter Dalton and wants him to become part of her life, as the adventure series continues; perhaps he could become a father to Luke. But Clyde suspects that Peter is hiding secrets, especially when he and Rani find an empty house where his home should be.

The Doctor makes a spectacular return on the happiest day of Sarah Jane's life but a deadly trap is awaiting them all. As the strands of a clever and careful plan come together, can even a Time Lord save Sarah Jane on the day of her arch-enemy's greatest triumph?

The Doctor joins the battle, as the power of the Pantheon Of Discord grows in strength, in the second and concluding part of this week's story, but a deadly trap is waiting for them all.

The Doctor makes a spectacular return on the happiest day of Sarah Jane's life, but is he too late to save both his old companion and Earth itself? As the strands of a clever and careful plan draw together, the two friends are separated across different time zones and must fight to save each other. For one, there's a terrible price to pay.


The Sarah Jane Adventures returns for its third series on the Fifteenth and Sixteenth of October with Prisoner of the Judoon at 4:35pm on BBC One plus BBC HD. The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith has been written by Gareth Roberts who previously wrote Revenge of the Slitheen, Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?, Secrets of the Stars and Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith.
