2lEntertain have recently confirmed that the January 2010 DVD box set release of The King’s Demons (1983) with Planet of Fire (1984) has unfortunately been delayed because of clearance problems. Instead of The King’s Demons (1983) with Planet of Fire (1984) DVD box set release in January 2010, the Third Doctor stories The Curse of Peladon (1973) with The Monster of Peladon (1974) will be released on DVD together.The Curse of Peladon, written by Brian Hayles, featured Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor with Katy Manning as companion Jo Grant encounter The Ice Warriors on Peladon. The Monster of Peladon, written by Brian Hayles, featured Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor with Elisabeth Sladen as companion Sarah Jane Smith encounter The Ice Warriors on Peladon.
2lEntertain have also confirmed that The Time Monster (1973), featuring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor with Katy Manning as companion Jo Grant and Roger Delgado as the Master, will be released on DVD next year. 2lEntertain also confirmed that a “re-visitation” box set featuring improved versions of the early Doctor Who DVD releases is also in production.
