The Mind of Evil Colourisation Rumours

The Doctor Who story The Mind of Evil (1971) has reportedly been restored to colour for an upcoming DVD release according to people that attended the Regenerations convention in Swansea last weekend. The Mind of Evil, written by Don Houghton, featured Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as companion Jo Grant and the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce in an encounter with The Master.

No official confirmation about The Mind of Evil being released on DVD hasn’t been confirmed as of yet by 2lEntertain but Doctor Who Hideout will keep readers updated. Actor Nicholas Courtney, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, has reportedly participated in an audio commentary recently for the re-colourised version of The Mind of Evil DVD release.

The next Doctor Who stories, Frontier in Space (1973) and Planet of the Daleks (1973), to feature the Third Doctor will be released at the beginning of October. Planet of the Daleks episode three has recently been restored to colour, after being only available previously in black and white, for the upcoming DVD release of Dalek War on the Fifth of October.

The recolourising of episode three of Planet of the Daleks is excellent, especially on the vidfired sections. I would say it is to the same standard of other recolourised stories like The Silurians, where they had the colour signal.
