The Waters of Mars, written by Russell T Davies with Phil Ford, features David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor alongside Lindsay Duncan as one-off companion Adelaide who encounter an alien force that puts Bowie Base One in danger.

Phil Ford has previously written Eye of the Gorgon, The Lost Boy, The Last Sontaran, The Day of the Clown plus Enemy of the Bane for The Sarah Jane Adventures and has written Something Borrowed for Torchwood. Russell T Davies confirmed in an exclusive interview with BBC Breakfast in April that The Waters of Mars is scheduled to be broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD this November.
