Doctor Who Moon Landing Story: Blue Moon

An exclusive Tenth Doctor story titled Blue Moon, written by Oli Smith, has recently been posted on the BBC’s official Doctor Who website to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing. The Tenth Doctor exclusive story Blue Moon, written by Oli Smith, is one of the many exclusive features that have been uploaded by the BBC to celebrate the Fortieth anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing.

The Moon first made its proper appearance in Doctor Who during the Second Doctor story The Moonbase in which the Doctor and his companions encounter the Cybermen. The Tenth Doctor story Smith and Jones, which introduced Martha Jones, is the most recent Doctor Who story that has been set on the Moon after the Royal Hope Hospital was teleported to the Moon by the Judoon.

The BBC have uploaded an official Moon Gallery onto the official Doctor Who site which contains various images of the Moon from different stories of both Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures. An official Moon video section has also been uploaded onto the BBC’s official Doctor Who site containing clips from The Moonbase, Smith and Jones plus The Lost Boy.

All four parts of the Tenth Doctor story Blue Moon are currently available to read from the start here on the BBC’s official Doctor Who website for an unknown amount of time. The Apollo Eleven Moon landing was recently referenced in Doctor Who during the Steven Moffat story Blink in which both the Tenth Doctor and Martha stated they’ve watched the Moon landing three times.
