End of Dubai Filming

It has now been confirmed that the Doctor Who production team have finished filming in Dubai for the upcoming Easter special. The production team left the United Kingdom for Dubai last Tuesday to film scenes for Planet of the Dead in a desert that will double as an alien planet.

Only David Tennant and Michelle Ryan had been confirmed by the BBC to have been filming in Dubai. Filming for Planet of the Dead began last month in Cardiff with David, Michelle, Lee Evans plus Noma Dumezweni and it is speculated that filming will be completed by the end of the upcoming week.

Planet of the Dead is the first 2009 and has been written by Russell T Davies plus Gareth Roberts both who have contributed to Doctor Who and the Sarah Jane Adventures the past two years. Russell and Gareth previously wrote the pilot episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures titled Invasion of the Bane.
