The BBC Press Office have released the official synopsis for episode six, The Vampires of Venice by Toby Whithouse, of Doctor Who’s new series which will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD on the Saturday the Eighth of May. The Vampires of Venice features Matt Smith as the Doctor, Karen Gillan as Amy Pond, Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams with Helen McCrory as Rosanna Calvierri.

Desiccated corpses, terror in the canal and a visit to the sinister House of Calvierri – the Doctor takes Amy and Rory for a romantic mini-break, as the Tardis touches down once again.

The BBC Press Office have The Vampires of Venice currently scheduled for broadcast on BBC One, with the BBC HD time unconfirmed, at 18:30pm, followed by Doctor Who Confidential on BBC Three, although the time hasn’t been finalised. Doctor Who’s new series continues this Saturday at 18:20pm on BBC One and BBC HD with The Time of Angels by Steven Moffat which concludes with Flesh and Stone the following Saturday.
