The Broadcasters Audience Research Board have revealed the official viewing figures for the Eleventh Doctor’s second story, The Beast Below, which was broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD earlier this month. When originally shown on Saturday the Tenth of April, The Beast Below managed an unofficial viewing figure of 6.4 million on BBC One with an additional 330,00 watching over on BBC HD.According to the Broadcasters Audience Research Board, The Beast Below managed to achieve an official viewing figure of 8.42 million for BBC One with an additional 494,000 watching over on BBC HD. Doctor Who’s new series continues this Saturday with The Time of Angels by Steven Moffat featuring the return of River Song and the Weeping Angels.
