The Seeds of Doom DVD Release Confirmed

2lEntertain have confirmed to Doctor Who Online that the 1976 story The Seeds of Doom, which features Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, will be released on DVD around the United Kingdom and Ireland next year. The Seeds of Doom, written by Robert Banks Stewart and directed by Douglas Camfield, was first broadcast in six episodes from the Thirty First of January in 1976 to the Sixth of March the same year.

Online retailer Play.com are holding an exclusive competition, with the closing date being April the eleventh, for fans to have the chance of meeting Tom Baker in London before he records the DVD commentary for The Seeds of Doom. The Fourth Doctor’s next story to be released on DVD will be 1979's The Creature from the Pit on Monday the Third of May.
