Upcoming Trailer Reportedly Heading to Cinemas in 3D

The Doctor Who trailer that will be broadcast this Saturday evening will reportedly be shown in 3D at selected cinemas before 3D showings of Alice in Wonderland according to an exclusive report from Broadcast. Doctor Who returns with its fifth series at some point during the April, with The Eleventh Hour by Steven Moffat, featuring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and Karen Gillan as companion Amy Pond.

A spokesperson from the BBC has reportedly said:

“Doctor Who is the appropriate vehicle for 3D. It just fits. It’s a great way to introduce and showcase the new Doctor to younger viewers.”

The Eleventh Doctor will make his debut in April, rumoured to be the first Saturday, in The Eleventh Hour which will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD simultaneously.
