Bill Nighy in Upcoming Doctor Who Story

Cult Television website Digital Spy have recently announced that British actor Bill Nighy, well known for the film Love Actually written and directed by Richard Curtis, will be appearing in an episode of Doctor Who this year. According to Digital Spy, Bill Nighy will be playing a curator at an exhibition dedicated to the famous painter Vincent Van Gough in the episode which has been written by Richard Curtis.

The Eleventh Doctor will make his official television debut in Spring 2010, rumoured to be late March or early April, on BBC One and BBC HD with merchandise featuring the Eleventh Doctor cropping up around the same time. Doctor Who Hideout will keep readers updated regarding Doctor Who’s upcoming fifth series featuring Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.

Richard Curtis revealed last November that actor Tony Curran will make his Doctor Who acting debut playing the role of Vincent Van Gough in his story. The story, which was filmed both in the United Kingdom and in Croatia over the past two months, is currently scheduled to be the tenth episode in Doctor Who’s upcoming series with Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor.
