The Eleventh Doctor, as portrayed by Matt Smith, will make his audio debut in the BBC Audio exclusive The Hounds of Artemis, written by James Goss, when released next April around the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Hounds of Artemis will feature the Eleventh Doctor sometime during series five of Doctor Who travelling with companion Amy Pond.
The Last Voyage Synopsis.
The TARDIS materialises on board the maiden voyage of a pioneering space cruiser, travelling from Earth to the planet Eternity. The Doctor has just started exploring the huge, hi-tech Interstitial Transposition Vehicle when there is a loud bang, a massive jolt and a flash of light. Shortly afterwards, he discovers that nearly all the passengers and crew have disappeared. Unless the Doctor and flight attendant Sugar MacAuley can take control and steer the ship, they could crash-land - or keep slipping through space forever. And as if that wasn't enough, something awful awaits them on Eternity.
BBC Audio confirmed last month that Doctor Who actor David Tennant will be narrating The Last Voyage after previously narrating Pest Control and The Day of the Troll. BBC Audio will release The Last Voyage, written by Dan Abnett and narrated by David Tennant, on the Seventh of January 2010 for the price of £9.99 around the United Kingdom and Ireland.
