Doctor Who - The Complete Specials Box Set Confirmed

2lEntertain have recently confirmed that the Tenth Doctor’s final four adventures, from The Next Doctor to the upcoming Christmas Special The End of Time, will be released on DVD box set and on Blu-Ray in January. Doctor Who returns with the The Tenth Doctor in Autumn Doctor Who Special The Waters of Mars, written by Phil Ford with Russell T Davies, tomorrow evening at 7pm on BBC One and BBC HD.

The Tenth Doctor’s final story, The End of Time by Russell T Davies, will be broadcast on Christmas Day with the second part rumoured to be broadcast on New Years Day. The first part of the Tenth Doctor’s final story will have an approximate running time of sixty minutes while the second part will have an approximate running time of seventy five minutes.

This Doctor Who DVD box set will include commentaries for all four stories, deleted scenes, exclusive David Tennant video diaries, the Doctor Who 2008 Prom and Doctor Who Confidential. David Tennant recently confirmed that both him and actor John Simm have recently recorded an exclusive DVD commentary for David Tennant’s final story as the Tenth Doctor.

2lEntertain will release Doctor Who - The Complete Specials DVD box set on Monday the Eleventh of January costing £39.99 alongside the Blu-Ray version of the box set costing £49.99 on the same day. David Tennant is joined in The Waters of Mars by Lindsay Duncan as one-off companion Adelaide, leader of Bowie Base One on Mars, for the Tenth Doctor’s penultimate story.
