The Mad Woman in the Attic Part One Reminder

Today will see the official premiere of series three’s second story The Mad Woman in the Attic part one, written by Joseph Lidster, at 4:35pm on BBC One plus BBC HD around the United Kingdom and Ireland. The third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures features Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith alongside Thomas Knight as Luke Smith, Daniel Anthony as Clyde Langer and Anjli Mohindra as Rani Chandra.

The Mad Woman in the Attic will conclude with part two on BBC One plus BBC HD on Friday the Twenty Third of October at 4:35pm around the United Kingdom and Ireland. Stories in this series include; Prisoner of the Judoon by Phil Ford, The Mad Woman in the Attic by Joseph Lidster, The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith by Gareth Roberts, The Eternity Trap by Phil Ford, Mona Lisa's Revenge by Phil Ford and The Gift by Rupert Laight.

Below is the official synopsis for The Mad Woman in the Attic part one.

Rani investigates strange rumours about a demon living in a funfair at the seaside. What she finds there, however, is far more alarming than that and she makes a decision that affects not only her future, but also the futures of all those she cares about...

Far in the future, in 2059, an old Rani remembers the day when her whole life went wrong. As her younger self investigates mysterious disappearances at an abandoned funfair, she sets into motion a chain of events which unleash the terrible powers of the alien Eve.


Doctor Who actor David Tennant will be making a special appearance this series, during the story The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith, as the Tenth Doctor. Russell T Davies has confirmed recently in Doctor Who Magazine that a fourth series of The Sarah Jane Adventures is in pre-production but nothing will go ahead without permission from the BBC.
