Russell T Davies on the Future of Torchwood

Torchwood creator Russell T Davies has exclusively told Torchwood Magazine, released tomorrow around the United Kingdom and Ireland, that if a fourth series of Torchwood is commissioned by the BBC he has plans on how it will begin. Russell T Davies recently contributed to Torchwood during Torchwood: Children of Earth writing Day’s One and Five plus Day Three with fellow Torchwood writer James Moran.

Russell T Davies is interviewed for the Seventeenth issue of Torchwood Magazine about the most recent Torchwood series, Torchwood: Children of Earth, including the controversial death of Torchwood member Ianto Jones. His first contribution to Torchwood was the premiere episode Everything Changes back in 2006 during the first series of the programme.

Below is an official extract from the Torchwood Magazine Interview.

“I could write you scene one of series four right now, I know exactly how to pick it up. I've got a shape in mind, and I've got stories. I know where you'd find Gwen and Rhys, and their baby, and Jack, and I know how you'd go forward with a new form of Torchwood.”

Other features for issue seventeen of Torchwood Magazine include interviews with Kai Owen and Paul Copley, Children of Earth: Day by Day, Torchwood Fiction, Day Five set report, Children of Earth Poll plus more. Titan Magazines will release issue seventeen of Torchwood Magazine for the price of £4.99 tomorrow, the Twentieth of August, around the United Kingdom and Ireland.
