Doctor Who: The Next Doctor/Planet of the Dead DVD Re-release

2lEntertain have recently confirmed that an exclusive Doctor Who DVD box set, featuring The Next Doctor with Planet of the Dead, will be released around the United Kingdom and Ireland this December. 2lEntertain haven’t confirmed whether or not if this DVD release will just contain the single releases for The Next Doctor plus Planet of the Dead which both went on sale earlier this year around the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The Next Doctor, written by Russell T Davies, featured the Tenth Doctor in his first of five last onscreen appearances encounter his enemies the Cybermen in Victorian England. 2lEntertain previously released The Next Doctor as a single DVD release with the Doctor Who Proms, hosted by actress Freema Agyeman, included on the Nineteenth of January.

Planet of the Dead, written by Gareth Roberts with Russell T Davies, featured the Tenth Doctor in his second last onscreen appearance encounter the Swarm on the planet San Helios. 2lEntertain previously released Planet of the Dead as a single DVD release with Doctor Who Confidential: Desert Storm, narrated by actor Noel Clarke, included on the Twenty Ninth of June.

2lEntertain will re-release The Next Doctor with Planet of the Dead as a box set for the price of £19.99 around the United Kingdom and Ireland on the Seventh of December.
