Torchwood: The Golden Age Broadcast Reminder

Today will see the official broadcast of the second BBC Radio Four exclusive Torchwood Radio Adventure, Torchwood: The Golden Age written by James Goss, on BBC Radio Four around the United Kingdom and Ireland. Yesterday afternoon saw the official broadcast of the first BBC Radio Four exclusive Torchwood Radio Adventures, Torchwood: Asylum written by Anita Sullivan, on BBC Radio Four.

Torchwood: The Golden Age features John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness alongside Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto Jones encounter an elusive branch of Torchwood in India. Tomorrow afternoon will see the official broadcast of Torchwood: The Dead Line, written by Phil Ford, on BBC Radio Four.

Below is the official synopsis for Golden Age:

The Torchwood team head for Delhi on the trail of a dangerous energy field, in Golden Age, written by James Goss, the second part of this brand-new series of extraterrestrial investigations starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd.

As the energy field grows once more, the team witness the simultaneous disappearance of hundreds of people and Jack discovers that the field centres on an old colonial mansion – Torchwood India.

Shocked to find that Torchwood India is still going strong, since he shut it down himself more than 80 years ago, Jack is even more surprised to find that its members, including his old flame, the Duchess, haven't aged a day.

Torchwood: The Golden Age will be broadcast on BBC Radio Four at 2:15pm and will then be available globally on BBC iPlayer. BBC Audio will release Torchwood: The Golden Age around the United Kingdom and Ireland for the price of £9.99 on the Eighth of August.
