Torchwood: The Dead Line Broadcast Reminder

Today will see the official broadcast of the third BBC Radio Four exclusive Torchwood Radio Adventure, Torchwood: The Dead Line written by Phil Ford, on BBC Radio Four around the United Kingdom and Ireland. Yesterday afternoon saw the official broadcast of the second BBC Radio Four exclusive Torchwood Radio Adventures, Torchwood: Golden Line written by James Goss, is currently available on BBC iPlayer.

Torchwood: The Dead Line features John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness alongside Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto Jones encounter an unknown phone caller which is effecting Cardiff Citizens. Next Monday will see the official broadcast of Torchwood: Children of Earth - Part One, written by Russell T Davies, on BBC One and BBC HD.

Below is the official synopsis for The Dead Line:

When a Cardiff hospital is inundated with patients who have fallen into coma-like trances, Torchwood moves in to investigate in the third part of this brand new series of extra-terrestrial investigations starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd.

The trances appear to have been triggered by phone calls, all received on retro phones and made from a number that hasn't been active for more than 30 years.

Determined to find out who's been calling the unfortunate victims, Jack rings the mysterious number – two, zero, five, nine. It seems to be a dead line ... until Jack is called back.


Torchwood: The Dead Line will be broadcast on BBC Radio Four at 2:15pm and will then be available globally on BBC iPlayer. BBC Audio will release Torchwood: The Dead Line around the United Kingdom and Ireland for the price of £9.99 on the Eighth of August.
