Torchwood Radio Adventures Updates

BBC Audio have recently revealed the covers for two upcoming Torchwood radio adventures, The Dead Line and Golden Age, which will be broadcast at the beginning of next month on BBC Radio Four. Both Torchwood radio adventures, The Dead Line written by Phil Ford and Golden Age written by James Goss, will feature John Barrowman as Captain Jack, Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto Jones.

Torchwood: The Dead Line and Torchwood: Golden Age will be broadcast on BBC Radio Four similar to how BBC Radio Four broadcast Lost Souls last September. Both Torchwood: The Dead Line and Torchwood: Golden Age will take place after the series two finale, Exit Wounds, yet before the upcoming Torchwood: Children of Earth miniseries.

Below is the official synopsis for The Dead Line:

When a Cardiff hospital is inundated with patients who have fallen into coma-like trances, Torchwood moves in to investigate in the third part of this brand new series of extra-terrestrial investigations starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd. The trances appear to have been triggered by phone calls, all received on retro phones and made from a number that hasn't been active for more than 30 years. Determined to find out who's been calling the unfortunate victims, Jack rings the mysterious number – two, zero, five, nine. It seems to be a dead line ... until Jack is called back.

Below is the official synopsis for Golden Age:

The Torchwood team head for Delhi on the trail of a dangerous energy field, in Golden Age, written by James Goss, the second part of this brand-new series of extraterrestrial investigations starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd. As the energy field grows once more, the team witness the simultaneous disappearance of hundreds of people and Jack discovers that the field centres on an old colonial mansion – Torchwood India. Shocked to find that Torchwood India is still going strong, since he shut it down himself more than 80 years ago, Jack is even more surprised to find that its members, including his old flame, the Duchess, haven't aged a day.

BBC Radio Four will broadcast both Torchwood: The Dead Line and Torchwood: Golden Age during the first week of July alongside Torchwood: Asylum. All three Torchwood radio adventures will be released later this year by BBC Audio.
