Planet of the Dead Released on DVD & Blu-Ray

Today has seen the official DVD and Blu-Ray release of the latest Doctor Who episode, Planet of the Dead, featuring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and one-off companion Lady Christina portrayed by Michelle Ryan. Planet of the Dead was the first Doctor Who Easter special in its forty six year history being written by Doctor Who producer Russell T Davies and regular writer for The Sarah Jane Adventures Gareth Roberts.

Planet of the Dead was first broadcast on BBC One, plus BBC HD, on the Eleventh of April earlier this year followed by an exclusive edition of Doctor Who Confidential Desert Storm. Both Planet of the Dead and Desert Storm are available on both the DVD and Blu-Ray release of this single Doctor Who volume release.

The next one-off episode of Doctor Who, The Waters of Mars written by Russell T Davies and Phil Ford, will broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD later this year followed by two further specials which will see the departure of David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor. David Tennant is joined by Scottish actress Lindsay Duncan for The Waters of Mars as one-off companion Adelaide.

The Planet of the Dead regular DVD is currently available for the price of £12.99 around the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Planet of the Dead Blu-Ray edition however is currently available for the more expensive price of £15.99 around the United Kingdom and Ireland.
