New Doctor Who Animated Series

The upcoming issue of Doctor Who Magazine, out this Thursday around the United Kingdom and Ireland, confirms that a new Doctor Who animated series titled Dreamland, featuring David Tennant as the Doctor, is currently in production. David Tennant previously voiced the Tenth Doctor, alongside Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones, in the previous Doctor Who animated series, The Infinite Quest, for Totally Doctor Who.

The Tenth Doctor is joined by one off companion Cassie Rice voiced by Georgia Moffett who previously appeared in Doctor Who as Jenny in The Doctor’s Daughter. Lisa Bowerman, famous for voicing Bernice Summerfield , and David Warner are also set to appear in this upcoming Doctor Who animated series alongside David Tennant and Georgia Moffett.

Dreamland is written by Phillip Ford who has previously written for both The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood plus makes his Doctor Who writing debut later this year with The Waters of Mars. Gary Russell, famous for being the ex-producer of Big Finish audios plus for directing The Infinite Quest, will be directing Dreamland.

Dreamland will consist of seven episodes with each episode having an approximate running time of six minutes meaning the story has a total running time of forty two minutes. Dreamland is currently expected to air on BBC One’s CBBC segment this Autumn.
