Russell T Davies Celebrates Forty Sixth Birthday

Current lead Doctor Who and Welsh born writer Russell T Davies, famous for spearheading Doctor Who’s revival and creating Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, is celebrating his forty sixth birthday today. The BBC announced in Autumn 2003 that Doctor Who would be returning after an impressive sixteen years off the television screens with Russell T Davies leading it into the Twenty First century.

Since Russell T Davies brought Doctor Who back earlier in the Twenty First century it has managed to receive praise from around the globe commenting mainly on the genius writing and acting. After the success of Doctor Who Russell went on to bring two new spin-offs for Doctor Who called Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

During May 2008 Russell announced that the final 2009 special would be his final involvment with Doctor Who to be replaced by Scottish writer Steven Moffat. Doctor Who Hideout hopes that Russell T Davies has enjoyed his birthday and thank him for such commitment to a programme that was long since gone.
