Doctor Who Nominated for BAFTA Craft Awards

Confirmation that Doctor Who has received various nominations for the upcoming 2009 BAFTA Craft Awards has been officially revealed by The British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Doctor Who has been nominated for three different categories including best fiction television editing, best television visual effects and best television writing.

Philip Kloss has been nominated for his editing on The Doctor’s Daughter and Midnight while The Mill have been nominated for the visual effects during The Fires of Pompeii. Russell T Davies has been nominated for his writing on Midnight which follows Steven Moffat's win last year in the same category for Series Three episode Blink.

This years ceremony marks the tenth anniversary of the BAFTA Craft Awards and will be hosted by Alexander Armstrong. The 2009 BAFTA Craft Awards ceremony takes place on the seventeenth of May at the Hilton Hotel in London.
