The Royal Television Society Awards have recently revealed that The Sarah Jane Adventures has unfortunately not received the award for Best Children’s Drama for the second year running. The Sarah Jane Adventures was previously nominated in 2008 for Best Children’s Drama but unfortunately failed to receive the award which went to the CBBC production of The Revenge Files of Alastair Fury.The Sarah Jane Adventures faced opposition this year against the CBBC productions of MI High and Summerhill. The CBBC’s Children’s adventure programme MI High was fortunate to receive the award for Best Children’s Drama this year over both The Sarah Jane Adventures and Summerhill.
The Sarah Jane Adventures returns later this year for a third series starring Elisabeth Sladen, Thomas Knight, Daniel Anthony and Anjli Mohindra.
