British television and film writer Bob Baker has recently uploaded an official promotional picture for the upcoming television programme K9. The K9 that is present during the programme will be the one that was introduced in the Fourth Doctor story The Invisible Enemy and departed to stay with Leela on Gallifrey in The Invasion of Time.The three characters in the promotional picture have been revealed as Starkey, Jorjie and Darius who will accompany K9 as the series progresses. Bob Baker has even confirmed that the original voice of K9 John Leeson will not be voicing the character of K9 despite voicing K9 in various stories of Doctor Who.
The programme will receive its initial broadcast in Australia later this year while an United Kingdom broadcast hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.
