John Barrowman in My Family

The BBC have recently confirmed that popular Doctor Who and Torchwood actor John Barrowman will make an appearance in the one hundredth episode of the British Comedy My Family. The Scottish born actor famous for his role as Captain Jack Harkness in both Doctor Who and Torchwood recently celebrated his forty second birthday.

The Doctor Who and Torchwood actor portrays a dashing American medic who comes to Susan’s rescue when she has her handbag snatched in the episode which will be broadcast next month. Zoë Wanamaker has previously voiced the Lady Cassandra in the Doctor Who episodes The End of the World and New Earth.

John Barrowman had this to say about joining My Family;

“It was great to be asked to guest star in My Family, especially as it was for such a special episode, I love the antics of the Harpers and my time spent on set was fantastic.”

Series Nine of My Family begins broadcast around the United Kiingdom and Ireland next month on the BBC.
