David Tennant in Taggart?

Scottish Doctor Who actor David Tennant will apparently appear in the ITV crime drama Taggart after his departure from Doctor Who claims the Edinburgh Evening News. David Tennant announced his departure from Doctor Who as the Tenth Doctor last October during the National Television Awards after winning best drama contributor.

The article claims that David Tennant previously auditioned sixteen times for the ITV production before being cast as the Tenth Doctor. Taggart is reportedly one of the most popular television shows made by the ITV which is currently in its twenty fifth series.

Scottish actor Colin McCreedie has reportedly plead for David to be on the show by saying;

"I've been encouraging our producer to offer him a part as a doctor."
