Noel Wins Bafta

Noel Clarke has successfully been awarded the Bafta Orange Rising Star. He received the award last night from the British Academy of Film and Television who situated the event at London’s Royal Opera House. This Bafta award is the only one available to receive votes off the public.

Noel Clarke had been nominated for this award because of his writing and performance in Kidulthood as well as its follow up film, Adulthood. Noel Clarke has previously portrayed Mickey Smith during the first, second and fourth series of revived Doctor Who.

Ian Smith, Head of Partnerships at Orange, said:

"We are delighted that Noel Clarke has been chosen as this year's Orange Rising Star. Noel is truly a fantastic role model for the next generation of aspiring film talent in Britain.
