Lindsay Duncan for Second Special?

Scottish actress Lindsay Duncan is apparently starring in the second 2009 special according to rumours made by The Daily Record earlier today. The published article claims that Lindsay Duncan is to portray a character called Adelaide in the second special written by Russell T Davies and Phillip Ford.

The Daily Record claim that the BBC have confirmed that Lindsay Duncan will star alongside David Tennant when production begins in the Spring. Adelaide is currently being described as the Doctor's cleverest and most strong-minded companion yet.

Lindsay Duncan apparently had this to say about joining Doctor Who;

"I'm thrilled to be involved in Doctor Who. I've never done anything like this before and I'm really looking forward to working with David Tennant and the Doctor Who team."

While Russell T Davies apparently expressed his thoughts as;

"Lindsay is an incredibly talented actress and I've been an admirer of her work for some time. We are delighted to announce that she will be joining the team and playing the Doctor's most strong-minded companion yet."

Doctor Who Hideout would like to remind readers that the BBC have not yet confirmed this rumour. Doctor Who Hideout will inform all readers on further confirmation.
