Dubai Filming

The BBC have recently revealed five behind the scene pictures of David Tennant and Michelle Ryan filming in Dubai for the Easter special titled Planet of the Dead. It is currently unknown how many days the Doctor Who production team intend to stay in Dubai for filming.

The Doctor Who production team began filming Planet of the Dead in Cardiff last month. Planet of the Dead has been written by both Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts who previously wrote The Shakespeare Code and The Unicorn and the Wasp for Doctor Who.

Tracie Simpson recently said this about Planet of the Dead filming;

"We rarely take Doctor Who abroad, we did visit Rome for Series Four's The Fires of Pompeii - which gave us some spectacular footage. The locations in Dubai are a perfect match for writer Russell T Davies's vision of the episode and we expect to film some incredible scenes while we are here."

It was recently speculated that the broadcast for Planet of the Dead could be delayed due to severe damage to a London bus hired for filming. All five images have been uploaded to Doctor Who Hideout’s Photobucket account and are as follows; Image One, Image Two, Image Three, Image Four and Image Five.
