Doctor Who on Stage?

The Sun have recently sparked rumours claiming that the BBC are currently in discussion about a possible Doctor Who live event that will tour around the United Kingdom and Ireland. The article suggests that multi-media lights, a sound show with 3D videos plus various Doctor Who monsters such as flying Daleks, Croaking Cybermen and Stocky Sontarans will be present.

According to the article the BBC are very early in discussions and hope that these events will coincide with the upcoming Summer holidays to allow Children to attend. The article claims that the BBC plan to confirm the event within the following month.

An apparent BBC insider has recently said the following;

"The BBC know they’ve got a massive hit show on their hands, so they want to take it to the next level. They want it to be a Doctor Who experience which will blast fans with amazing visuals and music. The emphasis will be on technology so it’s unlikely any of the show’s stars will be on stage. But they are expected to feature in video elements. That said, the idea of using real actors hasn’t been ruled out."

Doctor Who Hideout would like to remind readers that a Doctor Who event has not been confirmed as of yet by the BBC.
