David Tennant Nominated

Doctor Who actor David Tennant has received a best actor nomination for the thirty fifth Broadcasting Press Guild Television and Radio Awards. David Tennant has been nominated for his portrayal in Doctor Who as the Doctor and his recent portrayal in Einstein & Eddington as Eddington.

The thirty fifth Broadcasting Press Guild Television and Radio Awards have also nominated Einstein & Eddington for best single drama. Previous Doctor Who actor Christopher Eccleston has previously been awarded best actor by the Broadcasting Press Guild.

David Tennant faces opposition from Kenneth Branagh from the BBC’s Wallander and Ben Whishaw from the BBC’s Criminal Justice. Einstein & Eddington meanwhile faces opposition from the BBC’s The Curse of Steptoe, Hughie Green, Most Sincerely, Margaret Thatcher: the Long Walk to Finchley and The No1 Ladies Detective Agency.

The Broadcasting Guild Press will announce the winners on the twenty seventh of March at the Theatre Royal.
